From Nancyjean at aol.com Thu Jan 8 12:51:59 2009 From: Nancyjean at aol.com (Nancyjean at aol.com) Date: Thu, 8 Jan 2009 12:51:59 EST Subject: [ChildCare-Parents] Notes and Reminders From CPCFCCC Message-ID: Dear Families and Friends - Just a few quick reminders and notes: Saturday, 1/10/09 from 2 to 4 PM is CPCFCCC's Open House. This will be the first opportunity for anyone to pick up registration materials for summer and the next school year. Currently enrolled students and their siblings have the first chance to register - but preferential registration is on Monday, 1/12 ONLY. Please remember that all continuing students have to re-register for summer and fall sessions. I imagine that all of you are aware by now that our playground play house was torched on Saturday, 12/27. We are working with our insurance company and will have the old house demolished shortly. No decision has been made about whether we will replace the play house with another house or whether we will use that space in a different way. One chance for you to discuss the burned out play house, registration, or any other matter on your mind will be at Panera (Route 40) on Saturday, 1/17 at 9 AM. This is an informal meeting of the Parent Organization with the Director. The agenda is open for whatever you would like to bring up. This year we will celebrate the Chinese/ Lunar New Year in each class. As part of the center-wide celebration, we are going to have a book club! Anyone who would like to read, and then meet to discuss: Dragonwings by Lawrence Yep is invited. This book is suitable for adults as well as upper elementary readers and focuses on themes of Chinese/ American culture, father-son relationships, and growing up in general. The Center has purchased 12 copies that we will distribute to the first 12 families who request a copy. The discussion of Dragonwings will take place at the Center on Tuesday, 1/27 at 6PM. The Center will provide a light (Chinese) dinner. You will be receiving a NAEYC survey. Please complete the survey and return it to your child's teacher by 1/20. It is really important that we get as many surveys returned to us as possible. Sincerely, Nancy Wagner **************A Good Credit Score is 700 or Above. See yours in just 2 easy steps!
